MCRactive are a not for profit organisation, responsible for driving sport and physical activity across Manchester. Our goal is to inspire and encourage everyone to lead more active and healthy lives.
We provide leadership and a common narrative for the sport and physical activity landscape across the city, working with the whole sector.
As part of our continuing expansion, MCRactive is now looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working individual with shared values to become part of our growing team.
The successful candidate will have experience in shaping and delivering programmes of work and strategy’s that align to widening participation from a variety of sectors. Key to the success of this role will be the experience of influencing decision makers to ensure the likes of policy, provision and access are not only accessible but relevant, appropriate and achievable to all.
This role will is essential for us to drive our ambition to widen participation and access to all Sport and Physical activity opportunities and interventions across the city.
Key to the role is a level of understanding of our city and the communities that people live in and the ability to distinguish barriers that prevent participation and have experience and knowledge of how to overcome them locally and on mass.

This is a two year fixed term post with a potential increase for a further year. 
The role is full time (35 hours per week) however requests for part time hours or job share will be considered.
The salary for this position is £40,578 through to £44,624.
