WYTHENSHAWE 'HEART & SOUL' PROJECT
Calling all residents of the Woodhouse Park area, a new community project is coming to you!
Are you interested in helping to create positive and lasting change to the health and wellbeing of your local area?
The Woodhouse Park Healthier Neighbourhood Community Project invites you to join weekly Heart and Soul Get-Together sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout July and early August. Become a community researcher and be part of shaping how health, play, fitness, the environment, food and community opportunities can change for the better.
‘Heart & Soul’ is a social and friendly project for adults living and working in Woodhouse Park, and better still, it’s completely FREE!
Why take part? It’s a fantastic opportunity to;
- Work in your neighbourhood to make a difference
- Explore what makes a healthy neighbourhood (focusing on Wythenshawe Civic Centre and nearby Woodhouse Park)
- Highlight health issues in the area, find solutions and take action
- Design and share ideas for a healthier Woodhouse Park
The sessions will take place in the project’s new community workshop space at Wythenshawe Forum on:
Wednesdays: 21st, 28th July & 4th August – 10am-12pm & 1-3pm
Thursdays: 22nd, 29th July & 5th August – 10am-12pm & 1-3pm
Local residents can attend one session or more – booking is essential!
Explore with us how Woodhouse Park could be a healthier place, through conversation, sharing ideas, creative opportunities and short gentle walks.
Free refreshments will be available – also ask us about receiving vouchers for taking part. The space is wheelchair accessible and there is a lift. COVID safety measures will be in place at all sessions.
