Section 2: About your activities

Tell us all about your proposed activities, why they are needed and how they are going to make a difference. Please read the grant application guidance to help you complete the application form.

Your organisation must be able to meet the minimum standards of the HAF programme below.
  • 1. Provide healthy and nutritious, preferably hot, school standard meals for children and young people who are entitled to benefit related Free School Meals (FSM).
  • 2. Provide enriching / physical activities.
  • 3. Provide nutritional education to both young people and their families.
Your organisation must be able to meet the minimum standards of the HAF programme below.
  • 1. Children and young people and their families eating more healthily.
  • 2. Children and young people are more active and engaged in enriching activities.
  • 3. Children and young people are safe and not isolated.
  • 4. Children, young people and their families have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition.
  • 5. Children and young people be more engaged with school and other services.
  • 6. Have a greater knowledge and awareness of holiday clubs.
  • 7. Ensure appropriate organisational policies and procedure are in place for coordinating and managing services for children and young people.

Please be as specific as possible including proposed activities, age range of children and young people. How is your project going to provide a wide a range of opportunities for young people? i.e. Who, where, when, what?

Please be specific in how you will ensure those who attend your project are in receipt of benefit related free school meals.

Please be as specific as possible in how you will source, prepare and / or provide healthy, nutritious meals during each day of your project. We are looking for organisations to provide, where possible, warm/hot food over their activity period.

It is recommended that each project builds in 4 hour per week of nutritional education and healthy cooking.
