Want to make a difference to the lives of thousands of Mancunians?
Manchester is a city at the forefront of promoting physical activity, sport, leisure, and health to its people. With a diverse population, the city recognises that physical activity is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and the key to promoting physical activity is to understand the different needs and interests of all. As a result, Manchester continues to lead the way nationally in how sport, leisure, health, and physical activity can be a powerful agent of change for all people.
When it comes to promoting physical activity, we do things differently here in Manchester. We work with a range of organisations to facilitate accessible offers and opportunities for people to be more physically active.
Our city has a rich sporting culture, with world-renowned football clubs and world-class sports facilities that are accessible to all, and the envy of the watching world, our passion is to ensure we work with these sports to ensure equality of access for residents.
In collaboration with the City Council, we are committed to creating environments that promote physical activity alongside healthy living, collectively supporting policies that encourage positive changes in behaviour.
As part of our continuing expansion, we’re now looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard-working individual with shared values to lead our growing team as Chief Executive Officer.
This is a unique opportunity to advocate for the interests of all Mancunians from all walks of life, working closely with our Board of Directors and management team in responding to emerging challenges, and being at the forefront our innovative methods to spur participation in sports and physical activities at all levels.
Our new CEO will be a strategically minded and inclusive leader, with vision of the important and transformative role sport and physical activity can play in society, coupled with the drive to advocate and articulate this amongst prominent forums. The successful candidate will understand the sporting landscape, be able to build effective and high performing teams, as well as create and sustain relevant and prosperous relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
