Boggart Hole Clough is steeped in history and combines a number of picturesque cloughs varying from steep ravines to gentle sloping gullies. The park is an attractive haven for relaxation but also boasts a number of activities and facilities, and is well worth a visit, including a Children's play area, Multi use games area (MUGA), athletics track, tennis courts (courts are free), bowling green, boating lake, fishing area, toilets and a cafe, with free Wi-Fi also available at the Visitor Centre. The park stages a brand new Great Run Local every Sunday morning at 9.00am, along with number of cross-country events, mountain bike rides and summer Fundays. Also new to Boggart Hole Clough is the incorporation of audio guides, interactive maps and augmented reality games now available via the Love Exploring app. All of the activities are free and most will show you something about the park that you may have missed, even if you’ve visited many times, so download the app to discover more! The park is 1.5 miles from Newton Heath and Moston Tram. The excellent Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) website contains route planners, to find your way from anywhere in Manchester, as well as downloadable timetables.
