King George V Park (also known locally as Peter Pan Park) was opened in 1950 by HRH Princess Margaret, and features two large expanses of grass, either side of a long tree-lined path. There is a gated children’s play area, a multi-use games area and a football pitch. Benches, waste bins and picnic benches can be found throughout the park, and both entrances/exits have disability access. The park is a 5 minute walk from Gorton train station. For more information on transport, the excellent Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) website contains route planners, to find your way from anywhere in Manchester, as well as downloadable timetables.
