Opened in 1900, Crowcroft Park was one of the early Victorian parks of Manchester with well laid out flower beds, a bandstand, floral borders and several cricket and football pitches. Prior to 2001 the park in decline but with the appointment of a dedicated Park development officer and partnership working with the local community the park was transformed. The park entrance is a 1 minute walk from the East Road bus stop on Stockport Road. Buses are every 5 minutes. For more information on transport, the excellent Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) website contains route planners, to find your way from anywhere in Manchester, as well as downloadable timetables.
