Purchased in 1926 Fog Lane Park was one of the city's first public parks. It is said that Fog Lane Park earned its name from a grass commonly known as Yorkshire Fog, which still grows throughout the park. The Park is also a 18 minute train journey from Manchester Picadilly Station. Burnage Station is a 5 minute walk from the park. For more information on transport, the excellent Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) website contains route planners, to find your way from anywhere in Manchester, as well as downloadable timetables.
